Doggy Dog World
Doggy dog is an example of an eggcorn in linguistics (“a misheard word or phrase”). The original saying (dog-eat-dog) is misheard or spoken so quickly, it sounds like something else.

Bob the dog is a stupid dog. He chases his own tail, can’t eat kibble out of his bowl without flipping it over and making a mess, and barks at shadows. One day, Bob is doing just that - his scumptious meal gets interrupted when he sees a shadow in the form of a dragon. Bob decides that nay, this is no shadow, this is a real dragon ! As Bob starts to bark and bite at the shadow, the viewer is suddenly transported to the inside of his mind. Bob morphs into his alter ego: Sir Robert, a big, brave knight, swinging a sword and plunging into the dragon’s flames. As Sir Robert is just about to deliver his final blow - he opens his eyes , only to see that the dragn is just it’s owner dressed in a Halloween costume. He guesses he is just Bob the dog, after all. His regular life resumes, as if nothing happened.

Over the course of 6 weeks, I developed a storyboard, exploratory sketches, and two style frames based off of  Bob the Dog’s journey.
