Ex Machina
This project reimagines the title sequence of the film “Ex Machina”, directed by Alex Garland.

In the film, the colour red is used to signal the desire for freedom. The villain of the film is often bathed in a green tinge, misleading him as a “good guy”. The main character’s color is orange, mirroring his lukwarm, people pleasing personality. Orange can be red with yellow in it, signifying the mix of the main character’s intentions. The characters are compartmentalized to the different parts of the main home, chained to the places where they ‘belong’. The sequence aims to discover each of the characters through the colours and symbolic objects that represent them.
